Well, when we suspended training over a year ago, we certainly didn’t expect it to last this long! The committee met over Zoom last week so we have a few updates for you.

Training Suspended
In light of current advice from UK and Scottish Governments as well as British and Scottish Fencing, Dingwall Club will be suspending all our meetings and training with immediate effect until further notice.
This is a safety precaution to help protect our members and those in our communities and to help restrict the spread of the virus. This is not a decision we have taken lightly.
Please look after yourselves and we will try to maintain contact with our fencing community as much as we can.

Plastic Kit Comes To Dingwall
Today we took delivery of a set of Leon Paul plastic midi-fence kit. A new addition to our armoury.

Fencing restarts on Thursday 9 January, and we’d love to see you there. For the next few months we will be meeting in the gym hall at Dingwall Leisure Centre at 19:30.
Chairman’s Christmas Message
Wow. That time of year again already!
Goodbye 2019
Unfortunately we’ve not been able to sort out venues and availability for the rest of the year, so that is us now on our Christmas break a bit early. As soon as we have our 2020 restart planned, we will let you know. Enjoy your break everyone!
No Training Thursday 12 December
Due to some issues with our booking there will be no fencing on 12 December. Apologies to all our fencers for this. Cindy is currently trying very hard to see if something can be sorted out so that we can get one last session before 2019 ends. If we can manage anything we’ll let you know. Watch this space!
October Break, Temporary Change of Venue & Time
We will be taking a short break until 31 October. When we come back we will be temporarily relocating to the big gym at Dingwall Academy and our sessions will start at the slightly later time of 8pm. This is just while the Town Hall is being refurbished and we should be back to our normal time and location in the New Year.
2019/20 Committee
The club’s committee for the year ahead were appointed at the AGM in 3 October.
