Australia Beckons for Dingwall Fencer -Press Release

Dingwall fencer, Tom Hoffmann has been called up to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in Canberra, Australia at the end of this year.  This is the second time Tom has been selected to fence for his country in this competition having previously been part of the medal winning men’s’ epee team at Largs in 2014 when he was only 18.

Commonwealth Selection for Dingwall Fencer. Again.

We are absolutely delighted to hear that our coach and stalwart #StagKnight Tom Hoffmann has been selected to represent Scotland in the men’s épée at the 2018 Commonwealth Fencing Championships. The championships take place in November this year in Canberra, Australia. It’s the second time Tom has been selected and in 2014 he was part of the Scottish team who won bronze at Largs.

The club are over the moon that Tom’s hard work has paid off again and look forward to seeing his results!

Commonwealth Fencing Result for Dingwall Fencer

Dingwall’s own Tom Hoffmann came a very creditable 14th in the Men’s Event at the 2014 Commonwealth Fencing Championships in Largs today.

Tom was the highest placed Scot in the event after being put out in the last 16 by South African, Sello Maduma.  Well done Tom.
