We are delighted to be able to tell you that Dingwall Fencing Club is back in action! Due to COVID, there are a few changes, so please read on carefully.
First off, we’ve had to temporarily move location and we are now training in the Memorial Hall, Marybank. The hall is slightly smaller and with COVID 19 still on the go, that means we have to make a few other changes.
the numbers we can fit in at any given time are limited, so we are going to split into two classes. Kids and beginners will meet from 19:30-20:30 and experienced fencers will meet from 20:30-21:30.
In order to help manage numbers, we are asking you to please try to book a place each week. You can do that here. If you haven’t managed to book, you can always turn up and chance your arm, but be aware that we may have to turn you away if we don’t have space. This will also help us to keep on top of track and trace.
Loaning kit is also more problematic wen trying to maintain infection control! For that reason all beginners will be using plastic kit, which is easier to clean down at the end of each session. Experienced fencers who don’t have their own kit will be issued with club kit to take home and take care of.
We will also be asking everyone to be suitable masked at all times – facemask when not fencing, a fencing mask when you are. We may need to restrict spectators to avoid overcrowding as well.
Obviously, this is all new for us and we would ask for your patience as we work things out, I’m sure there will be some fine tuning to do.
We look forward to seeing you all soon, and don’t forget to check out our free club membership offer!
